FAQ:
Why should I hire you?
I work fast. I'm friendly. I'm sensitive to the project and time requirements. I know how to use my equipment. And most important, I REALLY listen with my ears.
How much do you charge?
Right now, $35 an hour. It's a fair price given the current economy, and I know the reality of what being an indie musician means: tight on cash.
How fast can my song be recorded?
Depends on you, the band, and the level of rehearsal you've already put in the song(s). If you're doing just an acoustic guitar and voice setup, then figure about 3 hours total for setup, recording, and mix down. Each additional song would add about 30 - 45 minutes.
For a full band it depends on the style and complexity. A typical rock song that is well rehearsed will take about 5 - 8 hours to record, then another 3 - 5 hours to mix.
What do you mean by rehearsed?
I mean that you (and the band/session players) have no questions about their musical parts in the song and really only need emotional guidance on how they should convey their parts.
Do you record acoustic drums?
Yes, my room sounds awesome for drums!!
I don't have a band, do you produce pop/rnb/electronic music?
Yes I do, but it's definitely more time consuming than bands and acoustic music. We'd have to grab a cup of coffee and talk the details over before we sign on to a project of that scope.
What equipment do you use?
Top of the line pro audio gear. Apogee converters, neumann akg shure rode microphones, avalon neve api preamps. Logic Pro for my DAW. I track everything at 96khz 24bit sample rates for high definition audio.
Do you have a mic that will make me sound awesome?
Yes.
Where are you located?
Near Lankershim and Burbank in North Hollywood, CA
Are you available to meet and discuss my project?
Of course!
